A pivotal event of Future Voices
All over the world, the 18th of July is celebrated as Nelson Mandela Day and this has been so since the United Nations declared it as such in November 2009, with the first of such celebrations on July 18, 2010.
Mandela Day has been variously celebrated and attracts the global society attending various gatherings and giving speeches in honour of the legacies of Nelson Mandela.
The 2018 Nelson Mandela Day in South Africa attracted thousands of world leaders in different capacities and had the honour of listening to a speech by the former American leader, President Barack Obama. Future Voices was invited by the Mandela Foundation and was represented at the 2018 Nelson Mandela Day in South Africa by Future Voices CEO, Mr Rashidi Sumaili.
Every year since 2016, Future Voices has celebrated Nelson Mandela Day in style. We have had the opportunity of attracting senior politicians, social developers, government agencies and other very important personalities to share in the joy of the Mandela Day and they have been generous to give inspiring lectures in tune with Mandela’s Ubuntu philosophy.
