The 2018 Nelson Mandela Day in Shepparton had the rare privilege of listening to the former Premier of Victoria, Mr Ted Baillieu among many other community leaders. Present also at the occasion were Hon. Damian Drum, MP (The Federal Member for Murray); Cr Kim O’Keeffe( The Mayor of Shepparton); Cherryl Hammer, the former CEO of Fairleys Foundation.
In previous years we have had other prominent community and international leaders in attendance at Mandela Day Celebrations, including diplomats and leaders like Mr Ray Sithole (The Acting High Commissioner of South Africa), Dr Frankie Annette Reed(Former American Consul in Melbourne); Barrister Victor Perton(Former MP, Victoria); Hon Wendy Lovell(MLC);Hon, Dr Sharman Stone, MP (Former Federal Member for Murray) and many others.
