  • engagement of community and family in a holistic approach
  • strengthening cross cultural understanding and inter country relations

  • “I have travelled to many places, been invited to many events and seen many initiatives, but I have never seen before what I see Jennifer and Rashidi doing in Shepparton in their Future Voices work with the grassroots in the community. We need to help them just as Mandela would have.”

    His Excellency Mr Ray Sithole
2016 Acting High Commissioner of South Africa, Canberra
  • “A vital program that aims to close the unemployment gap through engagement, creating partnerships and direct interaction with community organizations, business and individuals that may otherwise never occur. Key to the program has been the commitment of the facilitators to listen to the real needs of the community and to make their ideas to grow.”

    Dr Mimmie Claudine Watts
    Commissioner, Victorian Multicultural Commission
  • “We hear every day from our teachers that we need to lower our aspirations because we face many barriers – English as a second language, broken schooling, coming from another culture, war and so on … and that aiming to be a lawyer or a doctor is unrealistic. What we really need is to hear the opposite advice, which is what we are hearing in the program!”

    Rahila Haidary
Program Alumni, UNICEF Young Australian Ambassador 2014-15
  • “Future Voices has given me, and others like me, hope for our future in this great country. I and many of my fellow participants wanted to be involved in helping others after the year ended. Thanks to social media, our journey in the leadership program has been followed all over the world, including in the refugee camps, where the pictures and experiences have provided hope to others.”

    Declo Bisimwa
    Program Alumni
  • “It is difficult to quantify the influence of the program across the whole community because it is like measuring the ripples in a pond caused by throwing a stone – the influence goes on and on…”

  • “I plan on studying International Law in Canberra and wanted to get a work experience placement in a local law firm. My career teacher said that she couldn’t find a placement in Law but that I should try a retail placement. Future Voices organised a placement through their networks, thankyou!”
